We value the education and career development of each employee, and we believe professional development is essential to promoting a standard of excellence within a learning organization. Student Affairs is an integral part of the institutional mission of The University of Texas at Dallas and must therefore focus on continued development of staff to ensure intentional preparation for the work of Student Affairs. The Student Affairs L&OD will:

  • Provide a road map for learning.
  • Increase knowledge and enhance professional skills.
  • Assist in the retention of valued staff.
  • Build staff confidence and competence.

Leadership & Organizational Development will include: a staff mentoring program, professional staff internships, trainings and workshops, and the Student Affairs Leadership Institute.
